This course contains content specific to pediatrics where appropriate.

You should complete this course before completing parts 2 and 3: REHB003b - Seating & Mobility: Recommendation and Funding and REHB003c - Seating & Mobility: Choosing a Seat Cushion and Back Support.

This course introduces the new home medical equipment staff member to power mobility devices (power wheelchairs and scooters). Because of the multitude of brands of power mobility devices and accessories on the market, this course will cover power mobility devices in the broadest generic terms. For specific information related to a particular brand of power mobility device, please consult the vendors.

The Home Safety Assessment Consultant (HSAC) education course will teach you how to perform professional Home Safety Assessments. People need to modify their homes for many different reasons. The most common would be that a family member is beset with a mobility impairment due to injury, or people in elderhood want to Age in Place and to upgrade their home to reduce fall risks. The HSAC course will teach you to assess the safety hazards of the whole living quarters from driveway to the entrance, and every room on every floor of the home. The C.E.A.C. and the C.E.A.C. Mastery credentialing programs include course content from The Home Safety Assessment Consultant (HSAC).

This six-module Residential Ramp Consultant (RRC) Prep Program will give you the education you need to install ramps that safely resolve individual accessibility needs. This program will teach you the range of products and their uses, how to identify and recommend design modifications and the documentation necessary, the variety of personal mobility devices and how they relate to ramp design, ADA guidelines, and the overall complex role of the RRC.
