MGR102 - Leading in Today's Health Care Organization (4.0 HR)

Purpose:

This course will help you gain the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage and supervise people working in a health care facility.

Objectives:
1. Understand the organizational structure and communication systems of health care facilities.
2. Describe the legal and ethical aspects of health care supervision.
3. Describe leadership qualities that will assist in meeting health care facility goals.
4. Clarify participants own personal philosophy, values, and leadership style and recognize how these characteristics may influence those they supervise.
5. Understand the supervisor's role and responsibility in specific management tasks such as team building, problem solving, conflict resolution, evaluation, discipline, and change.
