REHB003b - Seating & Mobility: Recommendation and Funding

This is the second a 3-part series of courses designed to inform the home medical equipment provider about the seating and mobility process: evaluation of the client, recommendation of equipment and determination of funding sources and selecting the proper seating equipment for a particular client. This second part of the series focuses on the recommendation and funding processes. You should complete Part 1 of this series (“REHB003a - Seating & Mobility: Evaluation”) prior to taking this course, and you should complete this course before completing Part 3 (“REHB003c - Seating & Mobility: Choosing a Seat”).

Learning objectives:

1. Describe how the therapist arrives at initial goals for equipment suggestions; 
2. Explain the benefits of equipment simulation; 
3. Explain how both anatomic measurements of the client and equipment measurements are taken; 
4. Explain the basis of approval for the seating and mobility funding process.

To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey.
