Purpose:
The purpose of this course is to provide a framework of strategies to create successful organizations through positive, meaningful leadership.
Objectives:
1. Outline reasons why employee retention is critical to a successful organization.
2. Identify strategies to retain and develop a staff that will help the organization grow.
3. Define employee “engagement.”
4. Discuss and develop strategies to assist managers in engaging staff through: recognition and appreciation, communication, managing conflict strategies, developing a sense of team spirit, creating a continuous learning environment, goal setting, organizational involvement, and meaningful work.
5. Describe the effect on patient care in relationship to longevity of caregivers.
