These standards should influence the way patient care, daily business, interaction with others, and everyday decisions are accomplished. This course includes information to assist the administrator in developing the facility’s compliance program.The National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) has approved the above named program for continuing education credit.

Essentially Women and VGM Education offer a bundle of courses commonly required by various accreditation bodies to be completed by staff on an annual basis. Courses cover HIPAA requirements, proper precautions to take against bloodborne pathogens, preventing Medicare fraud, recognizing and ethically responding to workplace discrimination, and developing emergency action plans.

To identify ways to promote environmental safety in the health care setting. Every facility should be safe for their patients/residents and staff. This course will review some of the basic elements of environmental safety for long-term care facilities. Key points on the topics of fire safety, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, internal disaster preparedness, and water management are included. U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the federal agency responsible for oversight of employee safety. The guidelines in this course are based on OSHA regulations.
