This course on mask fitting will help the clinician find an optimal fit for their patients and achieve optimal comfort as they wear the mask over the duration of their therapy. Finding the best fit and comfort will help improve therapy compliance on the part of the patient.
Objectives
Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
- Describe proper fitting principles and techniques.
- Identify the importance and benefits of mask features.
- Discuss fitting tips for optimal comfort and provide proper techniques for cleaning and caring for the mask.
- Explain aspects of the full face mask.
- Identify common therapy issues and suggested resolutions.
- Explain how magnetic clips can be used for masks and for which patients.
- List the three facial landmarks considered for sizing nasal masks.
