The program consists of a 6 unit self-study educational program, unit reviews, and a comprehensive final exam. This six-module Residential Grab Bar Specialist (RGBS) Program has been developed to educate the environmental access and home modifications professionals in grab bar, railings, and railing systems design, construction, and alterations that safely resolve individual mobility and accessibility needs. The program is designed to reduce disparity in training and professional knowledge among people who evaluate, design, install, and maintain grab bars, railings, and railing systems to provide residential access for people with physical challenges. This program also assists those studying for the Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC) certification exam and the CEAC Mastery Program. CEAC applicants should pay close attention to any highlighted glossary terms and obtain additional resources when necessary to better understand topic areas.

The program is designed to reduce disparity in training and professional knowledge among people who evaluate, design, install, and maintain transfer lifts for residential access for people with physical challenges. This program also assists those studying for the Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC) certification exam and the CEAC Mastery Program.

This course explains how to bill Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) for all types of pressure-reducing support surfaces and provide the documentation necessary to submit a clean claim. Before taking this course, you should complete the courses: BILL100 – Introduction to CMS and Medicare, BILL105 – Frequently Ordered DME, and BILL106 – Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN).

The program is designed to reduce the disparity in training and professional knowledge among people who evaluate, install, and maintain accessible bathroom remodels to provide residential access for people with physical challenges. This program also assists those studying for the Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC) certification exam.

This course introduces the various types of orders required by Medicare: Preliminary/Dispensing Order, Written Order Prior to Delivery (WOPD), Standard Written Order (SWO), Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN), and DME MAC Information Form (DIF). You will learn when to use which type of order, how to correctly complete orders, and who is authorized to order durable medical equipment.
