This course explains how to bill Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) for all types of pressure-reducing support surfaces and provide the documentation necessary to submit a clean claim. Before taking this course, you should complete the courses: BILL100 – Introduction to CMS and Medicare, BILL105 – Frequently Ordered DME, and BILL106 – Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN).

Objectives
Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
1. Define the differences in the three different types of pressure-reducing support surfaces: Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3.
2. Identify basic billing documentation required for each level of pressure-reducing group support surfaces.
3. Explain which Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes and modifiers are required for billing.
