BILL111 - Billing for Repairs/Replacements

This course will help you become familiar with the process of billing for repairs to home medical equipment (HME). To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80 percent on the final exam and complete the course training survey.

Learning objectives:

1. Demonstrate how to bill for repairs and get paid for them in a timely manner with a reasonable allowable; 
2. Explain which modifiers should be included on DME repair claims; 
3. Explain what is needed up front to get paid with the first submission; 
4. Understand when Medicare will cover replacement equipment for Medicare beneficiaries.
