Purpose
The purpose of this course is to examine the role of the nurse leader within the organizational framework.

Objectives: At the end of this course, you will be able to:
1. Discuss the importance of strategy within an organization.
2. Explore the concept of organizational culture.
3. Examine professional responsibility and accountability in the context of organizations.
4. Explore the philosophies of hierarchical and relational partnerships.
5. Identify the significance of quality of nursing within organizations for better patient outcomes.
6. Discuss shared governance.
7. Contrast and compare different quality models to inform effective leadership of continuous improvement in health care delivery.
