The HIPAA & Infection Control course bundle contains the following two VGMU courses:

C.E.A.C. and C.E.A.C. Mastery Renewal intended for those who have participated in C.E.A.C 211- Certified Environmental Access Consultant (C.E.A.C.) Program and have not yet renewed their 2020-2023 certifications. This purchase consists of the Home Safety Assessment Consultant (HSAC) course that is a requirement for renewal of your certification and a renewal contact verification form. Your updated certificate for the C.E.A.C. or C.E.A.C. Mastery will be issued only after the contact verification form and the HSAC is completed. The certification will be renewed with a two-year time period.

The Ohio Respiratory Care Board regulates the HME law that requires licensure in order to sell or rent home medical equipment which includes TENS units.  One of the requirements to obtain your HME license is to have ten contact hours of continuing education per renewal cycle for staff rendering HME services to the public in the state of Ohio.

The state guidelines for Preceptor Curriculum list five topics and eleven areas of focus. Our Preceptor course incorporates thirteen additional subject areas such as Aspects of Aging, Marketing & Sales, Insurance, Legal Aspects, and Public Relations. We believe these skill sets are important for an AIT to acquire from his or her Preceptor.

This course allows the student to meet accreditation competency requirements for instructing patients on the proper use of therapeutic shoes (often referred to as “diabetic shoes”). This course does NOT meet therapeutic shoe fitting certification required by some states. You should contact your state licensure board to determine if your state requires therapeutic shoe fitting certification. There are many different therapeutic shoes on the market today. This course reviews the standard items taught with all therapeutic shoes. Before completing this course, you should check your accreditation agency’s specific requirements for competency. No continuing education credit is offered for the completion of this course.

The Aids to Daily Living Specialist (ADLS) credentialing program is administered by VGM Live At Home. This certification program is designed to assist the professional dealing in the retail environment of aids to daily living and accessibility items. The ADLS program is intended to reduce the disparity in training and knowledge found among professionals who evaluate and recommend solutions for the safety, comfort, and environmental access needs of aging and physically challenged individuals. The Certified Environmental Access Consultant (C.E.A.C.) credentialing program is administered by VGM Live At Home. Environmental Access is the process of adapting the workplace, residence and/or general environment to promote the independence, safety and functional ability for the physically challenged and aging individuals. The C.E.A.C .is a recognized certification for professionals creating accessibility or working in the environmental access field. The program consists of a 6 unit self-study educational program, unit reviews, and a comprehensive final exam. Upon successfully completing the entire program, you will hold the distinction of a Certified Environmental Access Consultant (C.E.A.C.).
