This course provides an overview of ICD-10-CM coding by focusing on the classification structures and the rationale behind the ICD-10 code system. Throughout this course, ICD-10-CM is shortened to ICD-10. You may find the long and short versions of the coding system used interchangeably; both terms are referring to the same coding system.
