The state guidelines for Preceptor Curriculum list five topics and eleven areas of focus. Our Preceptor course incorporates thirteen additional subject areas such as Aspects of Aging, Marketing & Sales, Insurance, Legal Aspects, and Public Relations. We believe these skill sets are important for an AIT to acquire from his or her Preceptor.

The health care administrator will increase their knowledge of corporate compliance and their responsibility to report fraud, waste, and abuse. In health care facilities, all employees are expected to follow certain standards of behavior. These standards should influence the way patient care, daily business, interaction with others, and everyday decisions are accomplished. This course includes information to assist the administrator in developing the facility’s compliance program.The National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) has approved the above named program for continuing education credit.

This course allows the student to meet accreditation competency requirements for instructing patients on the proper use of therapeutic shoes (often referred to as “diabetic shoes”). This course does NOT meet therapeutic shoe fitting certification required by some states. You should contact your state licensure board to determine if your state requires therapeutic shoe fitting certification. There are many different therapeutic shoes on the market today. This course reviews the standard items taught with all therapeutic shoes. Before completing this course, you should check your accreditation agency’s specific requirements for competency. No continuing education credit is offered for the completion of this course.

The Aids to Daily Living Specialist (ADLS) credentialing program is administered by VGM Live At Home. This certification program is designed to assist the professional dealing in the retail environment of aids to daily living and accessibility items. The ADLS program is intended to reduce the disparity in training and knowledge found among professionals who evaluate and recommend solutions for the safety, comfort, and environmental access needs of aging and physically challenged individuals. The program consists of a three unit self-study educational program, unit reviews and a comprehensive final exam. Upon successfully completing the entire program, you will hold the distinction of being a certified Aids to Daily Living Specialist (ADLS). Note: This program will also assist those studying for the C.E.A.C. certification program.

 Continuing education: VGM Education is authorized by IACET to offer 2 contact hours (0.2 CEUs) to participants who successfully complete this three-module program.

The Certified Environmental Access Consultant (C.E.A.C.) credentialing program is administered by VGM Live At Home. Environmental Access is the process of adapting the workplace, residence and/or general environment to promote the independence, safety and functional ability for the physically challenged and aging individuals. The C.E.A.C .is a recognized certification for professionals creating accessibility or working in the environmental access field. The program consists of a 6 unit self-study educational program, unit reviews, and a comprehensive final exam. Upon successfully completing the entire program, you will hold the distinction of a Certified Environmental Access Consultant (C.E.A.C.).

The C.E.A.C. and the C.E.A.C. Mastery credentialing programs include course content from The Home Safety Assessment Consultant (HSAC).

The PLC program is designed to reduce disparity in training and professional knowledge among people who evaluate, install, and maintain modular platform lift systems to provide vertical access for people with physical challenges who cannot navigate stairs with or without the use of platform lifts. This program also assists those studying for the Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC) certification exam and the CEAC Mastery Program.

This collection of 90 courses is approved for continuing education Category 1 credit by the Board of Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC). Each individual course offers credits upon successfully completing the course.  This bundle offers a total of 90 Category 1 Credits by BOC.

This course introduces the various types of orders required by Medicare: Preliminary/Dispensing Order, Written Order Prior to Delivery (WOPD), Standard Written Order (SWO), Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN), and DME MAC Information Form (DIF).
