SAFE002b - Forklift Safety Training - Part 2

This course is the second part of a two-part forklift training series designed to prepare employees for hands-on forklift training and evaluation. Employees should complete Part 1 before taking this course. Part 2 focuses on pre-operational inspections, safe forklift operation, load handling, special attachments, and refueling procedures. Successful completion of this course and the associated knowledge assessment does not authorize an employee to operate a forklift. Operators must also complete all required hands-on training and competency evaluations before operating a powered industrial truck. Learning objectives: 1. Identify the areas of a forklift that should be inspected before operation. 2. Identify the basic rules and safety requirements for forklift operation. 3. Identify load-handling principles and how they affect forklift stability. 4. Name the precautions that must be followed when using forklift attachments. 5. Identify the safe procedures and precautions for refueling and recharging forklifts. To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey.
