REG112 - Health Care Patient’s Bill of Rights: From Coverage to Care (1.0 HR)

The purpose of this course is to help nurses and other health care professionals with incorporating the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Patient’s Bill of Rights into their practice and into their patient education. 

Objectives

1. List two of the major goals of the PPACA Patient’s Bill of Rights.
2. Identify the rights and protections described in the PPACA Patient’s Bill of Rights.
3. Summarize responses to patient education inquiries of the PPACA Patient’s Bill of Rights that nurses commonly receive.
4. Recognize opportunities for nursing as a result of the PPACA Patient’s Bill of Rights.
5. Define and discuss the health insurance marketplace.
6. Describe the eligibility requirements for participation in the PPACA Patient’s Bill of Rights.
