The course is centered around identifying the differences and similarities between two types of circulatory ulcers: venous stasis and arterial (ischemic). In addition, treatment measures and preventative techniques for both types are discussed.
Objectives

- Describe the anatomy and physiology of the vascular system.
- List risk factors for venous stasis ulcers and arterial (ischemic) ulcers.
- Identify symptoms of venous stasis ulcers and arterial (ischemic) ulcers.
- Explain the diagnostic procedures for venous stasis and ischemic ulcers.
