NUR114 - Stroke (3.0 HR)

Purpose: Healthcare Professionals will review and learn new information about caring for the stroke patient.

Objectives: Upon completion of this self-study, participants will be able to:
1. Describe what happens when a stroke occurs.
2. Identify what the risk factors and warning signs of stroke are.
3. Differentiate between the different types of stroke.
4. Identify the effects of stroke.
5. Discuss exams and tests used to diagnose a stroke.
6. Describe various treatment regimens.
7. Discuss the appropriate care of the stroke patient.
8. Discuss various stroke research studies.
