Upon completion of this course, the participant will have a better understanding of hearing loss and how it affects the individual as well as treatment options to enhance quality of living of the hearing impaired individual.
Purpose: To better understand hearing loss and how it affects the individual as well as treatment options to enhance the quality of living of the hearing impaired individual.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Discuss hearing loss and how it affects the individual and family/friends
2. Explain the anatomy of the ear
3. List the types of hearing loss
4. Discuss the various treatments for hearing loss
5. Explain audiologic rehabilitation
6. Describe communicating with the hearing impaired
7. Discuss tinnitus
