CNA202 - CMA: Stroke Care (1.5 HR)
The certified medication assistant will review and learn new information about caring for the patient who has had a stroke.
Purpose: The certified medication assistant will review and learn new information about caring for the patient who has had a stroke.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to
1. Identify the structure and function of the nervous system.
2. Describe what happens when a stroke occurs.
3. Identify the risk factors and warning signs of a stroke.
4. Differentiate between the different types of stroke.
5. Identify the effects of stroke.
6. Discuss medications used with the stroke patient.
7. Discuss the appropriate care of the stroke patient.
