The nursing assistant will enhance knowledge and understanding of Parkinson’s Disease and learn how to care for the person living with it.
Purpose: The nursing assistant will enhance knowledge and understanding of Parkinson’s Disease and learn how to care for the person living with it.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to
1. Explain the pathophysiology of Parkinson's disease.
2. List the five stages of Parkinson’s disease.
3. Describe the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
4. List the four classic signs of Parkinson’s disease.
5. Discuss complications and provide interventions for those living with PD.
