CNA103 - Ethical and Legal Practice for the CNA (1.0 HR)
To better understand how ethical principles can be applied in the health care setting by the certified nursing assistant.
The purpose of this course is to provide education for the CNA on the concepts of ethical and legal practice within the Scope of Practice of this health care entity.
OBJECTIVES
1. Define one ethical responsibility of the CNA.
2. Define one legal responsibility of the CNA.
3. Name and discuss the importance of ethical behavior of the CNA in the health care environment.
4. Identify two reasons why a Code of Ethics is important to the healthcare practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant.
5. Describe the purpose of the Patient Self-Determination Act of 1991.
