This course provides explanation of the current standards that a durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS) supplier must meet to receive and maintain a Medicare Supplier Number and to submit claims to and receive payment from Medicare.
This course provides explanation of the current standards that a durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS) supplier must meet to receive and maintain a Medicare Supplier Number and to submit claims to and receive payment from Medicare. To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80 percent on the final exam and complete the course training survey.
Learning objectives:
- Identify the DMEPOS supplier standards and conditions in order to be eligible to receive payment for a Medicare-covered item;
- Identify the particular standards that require your business to maintain documentation of compliance;
- Identify sample documents and complete procedures that may facilitate an on-site NSC inspection, should one occur.
