This second part summarizes what health experts know about how people can prevent or reduce allergic reactions, how to treat these reactions, and what medical researchers are doing to help people who suffer from these allergies. You should complete RESP015a - Airborne Allergens - Part before taking this course.

Learning objectives:

  1. Explain steps that a person with allergies can take to gain relief from allergy symptoms; 
  2. Describe two methods by which allergies are diagnosed; 
  3. Explain five methods that can be used to treat allergy symptoms; 
  4. Explain what type of research is taking place to understand what happens to the human body during the allergic process.

To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey.
