OPS008 - Paperless Office: Document Imaging and Storage

This course addresses the concept of document imaging and storage as a method for reducing the overall cost of handling paper in an HME operation.

Learning objectives:

1. Define document imaging; 
2. Describe the benefits that document imaging can provide an HME organization; 
3. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing a document imaging system from different types of software vendors; 
4. Explain the various costs associated with a typical document imaging system; 
5. Explain Medicare's regulation regarding accepting electronic files and documents.

To successfully complete this course, you must attain a minimum score of 80% on the final exam and complete the course training survey.
